We’re on a mission to make period products free & accessible.
Here’s how it BEGAN…
↓
“Let me set the scene: I’m sitting in an idyllic London restaurant with family, feeling good and dressed to suit — when I unexpectedly get my period. I quickly scan the bathroom before realising… oh no, they don’t have any period products for me to use. It was late and all the nearby shops were shut. I was forced to make a makeshift pad out of toilet paper. It was undignified, uncomfortable and I spent the entire evening just wanting to go home. Since then, I’ve turned my frustration into action by building HeyOra, to make sure no one else finds themself in that situation.”
- Zoe Barret, founder of HeyOra
Here’s the problem
Period products are still invisible. When we do find them in public spaces, they’re inside ugly, coin-operated dispensers. These machines rarely work and most people don’t carry around change any more. No one should be forced to use a make-shift toilet paper pad. We conducted our own research and asked anyone entering a public bathroom whether they carried period products with them: not a single person did.
Join the movement and break the stigma
At HeyOra, we know period care is a basic necessity, so why not treat them that way? We’re working to make period products as common as toilet paper and soap in every public bathroom — because life doesn’t just pause for your period.
Our mission is simple: normalise menstruation by making period products free & accessible.
